i thought that harry potter the books were really good and i enjoyed reading them.
however i have seen the films and the first two i thought were really good but the most recent i thought missed out alot of important things from the book and i didnt really enjoy it becuase it lost alot of the plot.
but i do like the books still

I agree with you wishlesshollow,it was disapointing that they missed alot in the book.it threw me off.I told my family that there was a lot changed from the book but they didn't seem to care.I know that the movie is not suppost to be exactly like the books but they need to be rally simular though. I am glad that i am not the only one that felt that way.

Well, just because I said I loved the films it doesn't mean I agreed with what was cut from the last film, The Prisoner of Azkaban. PoA was and still is my favorite of the novels thus far. I think they left a lot of explanation out where they should have kept it and I spent a good 2 hours after seeing the film explaining everything to my fiance, who had not read the books. I have heard that they will be cutting even more from The Goblet of Fire due to time constraints. Min

I didn't mean to offend you Min if I did I was only giving my opinion on the last movie.I liked it though.I can't wait till the next movie comes out and that is probibly why they left a lot out of the first one because of time. I like the 5th book as well I just don't like what happened near the end *tear*. I wanna see the wall papers!!!

I like harry potter too, oh god, I remember when I was in 7th grade and the first three or two of the harry potter books came out and we were required to read the first one as a entire class assignment, hence we did it as "one", which has...hehe.....not so good memories, but I did grow on them, then I became totally obsessed, I have all five books.
A thick book like book 4 and 5 would take me... 2 to 4 days to finish, yes I'm a fast reader *giggles*
As for the movies I hate all 3, because they are sort like the book, yet its..just that...I don't like it, the way it was director...I just can't stop making grunts and rolling my eyes, of course it was funny for my step dad and he knows that something was not right and he'd ask and I tell him.
When I went to go see the third movie, I was very disappointed, like I will always be, til they will get at least one of the years at hogwarts right!, for this movie, I was like "oh my f****ing god!"
My step dad liked it and I was like already voicing my opinion and the NOT similarities from the movie AND book, which of course made my mom laugh a bit, aside from it all she said that she didn't think it was that good.
I'm like the only one who owns these books, I slept, eat, talked, wrote next to these books, so they are pretty old. haha.
but I am really waiting for the other two books to come out.
Already JK rowling said the next title of the book..crap I forgot what it was, something about the prince.
I read it somewhere, but jk released the title of what the next book.
I'm really interested and can't wait.
oh and I really can't wait for what they do to the fourth movie.
I don't want to get the movies, because its a waste of my time and I'm just going to sit there and growl, grunt and roll my eyes. LOL.
