I feel outcast because I'm gothic and have different views to other people, I feel really lonely. Does anybody else feel like this?

i do know the feeling and i feel for you. have you tried telling a friend how you feel? or maybe talking to somebody that you tell the way that you feel too. i know that the world apears at times to really try to beat us but we have a strength in us to pull through and there are always people there that care no matter what we do . wether they are the friends that we dont always talk to but are there when we need them or realtives or even people that we feel that we have lost friendship with( it was in my case). i felt really down about three months ago and i was at the point i wanted to end it and be gone but i am still here and i would of missed alot if i wasnt . i hope that you find the people that you are looking for and a way to ease whatever pain that you are feeling *bows* wishlesshollow

Thorn, I understand where you are coming from.
I, myself, am a strange sort of person. I don't really fall into any specific category, because I sometimes dress conservative, sometimes goth, sometimes punk (more often than not) but sometimes I dress in exotic Indian inspired clothing (which really suits me, actually, because I have dark hair and eyes, and can pull off the Indian look if I really try, complete with my nose-stud!).
I know you're wondering why I am writing this, but when I dress certain ways, my looks garner certain reactions. Some people appreciate it and some don't. But you should never ever succumb to the feelings of being an outcast, because there are plenty of people who feel just like you. I have learned that I should just be myself and not worry about anyone that doesn't like me thinks, because they aren't worth worrying about.
So if you ever feel alone, don't, because we all feel that way sometimes, and you are NOT alone.
*hugs* Min

I agree with Minara. I dress the way I like and if no one likes it who cares,I am not dressing for their pleasure but for my own.I used to want to be a certain but now I just want to be myself.I am shure that your friends like you for who you are and not how you look, that is how my friends are. I hope what we all said could help some.
