Immortal.. Because I already am Plus I like the idea of living forever and seeing the world change, although I think that it would get boring after a very, very long time, and if I was the only immortal and could not make any new immortals then that would really suck and I wouldnt want to be an immortal then..

I chose Immortal too, because, hey who wants to die??
Although, as an afterthought, immortality can lead to madness, hate and despair...as long as you let it...
I for one would love to live forever rather than die...

I would rather live forever too. Like Lestat, I would like to watch the world change over the years. I don't want to die. But sadly, we all have to....

The choice for me was easy... Mortal is what I would choose..
Although the lure to be Immortal is always strong for no one wants to grow old and die especially if there was a choice of Mortality or Immortality.
If I was Immortal I could not endure the loss of those motals that I love, and even though I could have Immortal friends and lovers I am sure that I would be drawn to love mortals for many reasons including friendship..
So given the choice I think that I would turn Immortality down and stay as a mortal.

Oh Louis I knew you would say that =)
Well, after reading your post I am torn. I don't want to see everyone die, so I would choose mortality, BUT I could turn everyone I loved and make it so they would never die if I was a vampire, but they would probably end up hating me, just like Lestat.
*has been re-reading the Vamp Chronicles*

If vampire were real, i think they would see us, just as many of us see them. As captivating, priceless creatures... and i feel they would envy us.
For we can die... and only mortals can truly appreciate the little things in life, because we only have one go at it. (that we remember and all past lives etc)
With all that said however, *bows head* i still wish for the eternal Kiss.

You know what I choose immortality, because as you know sometimes life can fuck you up in lots of places.
Which is why you can always start a new leaf, well that is what I would think.
and you get to do whatever you want to do and not wait, I mean you could wait, but never die waiting *winks*
if I were immortal, of course I would mourn the loss of my entire family and then move on and learn alot of other things, more like travel around the world.
and if I do or should get sick of life, then I'll just...die.
haha *smiles*
then again *frowns*
if I choose mortal, then of course human beings have a short life and what not.
but it just sucks in my opinion *shrugs*

i choose immortal as mal said you can start new and fresh without having to look at the fact that you are closer to your death .
you can do what you want to and have all the time to devote yourself to doing that activity .
i agree with the fact that your loved ones dying would be something i would probly struggle with but i am sure that even in my lifetime i will have to deal with the loss of some of my family . so why would it be diffrent if i did have ever lasting years.
i dont really know to be honest that is what my first thought on the subject but then again it might change as i get older i am only 16 now and things change.
*smiles * o well life has alot ahead of me already without thinking about the hypothetical

The gods envy us. Because we're mortal. Because we feel pain. Because of our love. We are mortal- we can die. Vampires are immortal- they can't.
We have lives. They have solitude.

Immortal. Even if Mortals feel pain, loss, aging this makes no difference. Immortals can do lots better than just live in solitude. Think about the thrills of blood, lust, and the Night!

Yes, my immortal longing friend, it is true that those of immortality do hold an advantage over those whom live on borrowed time, but too do they lack that which mortals take for granted. Warmth, a sense of time, the ability to life life in all sense of the word. One whom is immortal simply is. Like a rock, stuck at the side of a stream. It is there, but it never truely lives, for with life there must be death. An immortal knows no life, no goal. They hold no sense of time, no promise of life beyond death, for they have no assurances that time will pass. They spend eternity in the darkness, striving to fill the hunger which only grows painsickingly strudy as the days come and go. Hunger for death, hunger for knowledge, hunger for the daylight. The night holds beauty, it is true. But what is beauty, if there is nothing to compare it to?
