Ok how could we forget the father of all vampires, Dracula?
I have seen Bram Stoker's Dracula, starring Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, Cary Elwes, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Sadie Frost and featuring Monica Belluci, SO many times. I was slightly obsessed with this film for a few years, until I saw IwtV. Gary Oldman was amazing as Dracula. It's a remarkably good (yet cheesy) adaptation of the Dracula legend.
I have also seen Dracula 2000, which is an odd movie, and somewhat gory in parts. I really adore Gerard Butler, the chap that played Drac in this film. He was also amazing and beautiful as the vampire.
I know of one book which I recommend to any who love the legend of Dracula, that being I, Dracula by C. Anderson. It's a fairly old book (late '80's, early 90's) and may be hard to find, but it's a nice twist on the story.
And again, I totally recommend the original Dracula, by Bram Stoker. It's the thesis for almost all vampire novels that followed.

oh right you are *purrs*
Again as a young girl. haha, strange to think that I'd remember these kind of movies when I was a very "young" girl.
Let's see I already seen IWAV and this one.
God! I SO wanted to be wynona rider's part, that like starts to fall in love with dracula, even though she already has a guy, Keanu Reeves *shivers*
I mean I just "wanted" that part, I wanted to feel what it was like to fall in love with one and already having a guy on the other. haha.
Simply I was a bit sad when dracula died. For keanu reeves *drools* he will always be sexy.
Too bad I didn't see the movie "entirely" as you know this movie IS rated R, so being a kid, I had to blocked out the "sex" scenes.....damn! but now that I'm 17 and almost turning 18....I'm tempted to go back and watch the ENTIRE movie..without being interrupted.
*giggles*

I love Dracula...have you guys heard of Liz Lochhead's play of it? It brings out a lot of the taboo subjects and really plays on the sexuality...i played Lucy in a production of it, and it was the best acting experience i've ever had. I loved the movie with Winona Ryder, but i wish they could have cast a real actor as Jonathan Harker Would love to see Gerard as Drac, he's fantastic in Phantom Of The Opera xxxxxxxxxxx
